Dear Heidi; Thanks for the photo of you and your family at Relay for Life. I worked at that last year, and also was Chair for Taking Steps Against Breast Cancer. All very worthwhile. Did you do the over night thing? Some just come for the walk and canle lighting, while others do the whole weekend thing. How much did you raise? I find that there is a high level of money in the Relay for Life, as there are many corporations in Toronto that support it. Hope you had a great day/night. Do you have any more photos. I would like to see more of your daughter. Thanks.
Weezie
Hi Weezie. I didn’t stay the night. I still go to bed pretty early so I guess I wimped out. I was actually the top individual fund raiser at our event, I think I raised about $2000. We did good. I do have another photo I will post of my daughter and my nephew at the event, they had thier own little fundraiser… they were selling what my daughter calls “dreamcatcher” made from little plastic beads. They had a blast. I am also going to be a volunteer for a program here called Road to Recovery where you drive people to treatments. My co-workers all made up a schedule and every day I had a different driver to my RT. It was cool.
